The fine mesh sieve is ideal for sifting out the bran of freshly milled flour or for simply loosening up flour. The smaller sieve with the coarser mesh is suitable for separating bran from semolina and fits into the larger sieve so that the semolina and bran can be separated in a single sieve pass.
