The piece is made of ceramic in a naive, whimsical style. The ladys head is decorated with a ring of flowers and a bow and the cushion is surrounded by a heart form. There is a rod and knob at the top of her head I assume that this is a thimble holder. She is unmarked, so Im unsure of her origin, but might be Italian, although Im really not sure. She measures 4 3 4 in
