beautifully detailed and vibrant flavors possess more volume even if they’re not especially dense
The barely middleweight flavors are also on the lighter side but with better punch and notably better depth on the lingering and slightly more structured finale
This medium to full-bodied
Note that this should reward mid-term cellaring and indeed it will need a minimum of 5 years and 6 to 10 would almost certainly be better
the 165ème isn't as powerful or fleshy as the 167ème Édition
Yvon Metras, Fleurie Size:6x1.5L beautifully detailed and vibrant flavorsOne's milage can vary significantly when aging Yvon Mtras' wines, but from my cellar, the 2017 Fleurie is performing quite well, even if I preferred it a few years ago. Exhibiting aromas of rose petals, cherry pits, smoked meats and spices, it's medium to full bodied, sweet and fleshy, with powdery tannins that assert themselves on the finish and a touch of spritzy residual carbon dioxide.
